Tamiami Air Show

We had so much fun at the airshow. A friend from church owns three airplanes out of this airport and invited us to come visit. The day was pretty grey and cloudy, so we didn't get to see much flying but we had a wonderful time. The most unfortunate part of the day was when our friend Jim revealed that he had planned to take Kathy up for a ride that day. However, his plane had a rough landing; just the day before, due to heavy crosswinds and there had been damage to the plane. John was sad because he had always wanted to get Kathy a ride in a T-6 Texan after bought him a ride years ago.

Kathy's almost ride! His plane (the entire fleet in fact) is named after his wife, America.

Two planes in formation.

Maybe John should come back and edit this post. Another plane!! :)

John and Jim checking out his plane. I wish the colors were better. I tried to fix them. This was the most beautiful teal blue I have ever seen. Grandma Ortiz would want to paint her entire house this color.

Julia and Daddy flying the bi-plane!

John wondering what took him 5 years...
(possibly the legitimate degree and NOT flying an ultralight!)

Hanging out with the Rocket Man!

(This poor guy wore this costume just for fun - he didn't think that every kid and even the Air Force pilots would want pictures with him - sorry dude!)

John and a DC-9 (maybe - ask him if you need to know for sure)

15 months is so much fun!!

Julia was playing the mirror, dancing, and sucking in her belly! It was just too cute. And yes, she tickles her own belly at the end!

Julia's tiger face. Crawling off the chair. "No more pictures!"

Showing off her long hair and her headband!

My little cheerleader loves to dance and walks around her her radio all the time!

Story Time with Julia Low.

Michigan Part 3: Grand Re-Opening for RE/MAX Standale & Mema's house

Setting up the balloon

Julia was way too busy looking at the balloon to smile for the camera

The balloon turned just beautifully to give me a great Logo shot.

Up, up and away!

Another reason to miss Michigan. Look at those gorgeous colors.

Beautiful sky and Fall showing.

Julia and Jack! So, so cute together!

"Come on Jack, the toys are this way." I really think they look like an old married couple in this one. Too cute

Papa and Julia. This picture warms my heart.

Julia and the Grandparents Low

Well, the photographer was right - it is tough lighting...but still...

The little GQ model.

Trey, Julia, and Ty - the middle cousins hanging out and playing.

Mema and Julia playing Little People and making Big plans!

Julia just adored this small chair. We finally got one for her and it will arrive next week!

The cookies were spilled. Rather than cry, Ty just joined Raven in cleaning (or eating) them up!

Hanging with the cousins and grandparents!

Michigan Part 2 - Apple Orchard

Julia loved exploring the apple orchard.

I love this Father and Son walk through the orchard.

Julia and Daddy picking her first apple.

The Lows - Mema, Papa, Daddy, and Julia

Shocked? or Tired?

Can you spot the differences? Poor Trey. He never said a thing about what happened either. What a wonderful big cousin! So loving and patient.

Olivia's self portrait. She really loves the camera!

Sarah, I think you need to put this in your backyard. Trey could have ridden here all day long!

Cousins swinging! How much fun

"Daddy, what is this stuff?"

Slipping and sliding in the hay pile

Taking a pretty picture for his mommy.

Julia and the pumpkins.

Sarah, I'm afraid you also need this. Ty was just loving this sweet goat.

Daddy and Julia talking to the goat.

Papa and his goats. We finally got the food from the complicated machine, but the kids had already moved on. So glad Papa was willing to feed those goats.

Michigan part 1 - Museum Days

Caitlyn on the antique bike!

Caitlyn was able to move the words on the wall very easily. This crazy setup allowed your hands to be programmed into the computer and become a "wireless mouse".

ArtPrize with my beautiful Cait!

Cait and Grand Rapids. Two things I miss very, very much!

Cara, me, and Julia with the big dog! More Artprize

Isabella and her long, long dancing legs on the antique bike!

Caralyn on the bike.

Beautiful Becca on the bike! (check out those dancing arms - Even Mrs. Obama and Madonna would be jealous)

Mema and Olivia at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

2 x 2: Trey and Julia on the carousel.

2 x 2: Olivia and Ty on the carousel.

2 x 2 : Cara and Becca on the Carousel.

Playing with the puppets. It was a great show!

Ty the ladybug.

Cara showing off her gorgeous green eyes.

Julia is in need of some grooming.

Trying on the Civil War beards.

The Civil War tent. The girls were most concerned with the tiny ruck sack hanging on the front. They didn't think that it was possible to pack a month of clothes and snacks in that little bag.

My two favorite 5 year olds! Trey & Cara

Cara loved this antique bank. Put a penny in the dog's mouth and the dog jumps through the hoop and puts the penny in the barrel.

Uncle Dave gets in on the biking fun too!
